- Put an article in your local newspaper, community enewsletters/correspondence about your fundraiser
- When selling Girl Scout Cookies, ask if when scouts deliver the cookies if they can pick up their used cell phones/pda’s and inkjet cartridges
- Establish a collection/shipping lead to handle sending in the items who:
- Secures mailing labels and sufficient shipping box
- Is sure to tape boxes securely for safe shipping
- Reviews the Smart Shipping segment on the website
- Ships when the troop has collected at least 20 cell phones/PDA’s and inkjet cartridges
NOTE: The average household has 3-5 used cell phones in drawers. Be sure to ask your neighbors on both sides to triple your household’s contribution to the recycling/fundraising effort!
