Liz Gonzales – Fundraising for Cancer

fundraising for cancer On January 15th I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. It has been a whirlwind, with biopsies, doctor appointments, labs, surgery and chemo treatments that were 4 hours long. I had eight chemo treatments, which I am happy to say are complete. I am doing well and feeling great!

I wanted to do something about Ovarian Cancer and help in it’s research. So I was on a quest to raise $2,000 for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. As part of my fundraising campaign, I signed up to do a Phoneraiser.com drive. I was delighted when I was able to raise over $550 just through collecting used cell phones to be recycled! Not only was I raising funds for my cause, I was helping the environment at the same time!
