Freecycling

Already sent in your phones to Phoneraiser but have some other stuff you just need to get rid of? Think someone else might be able to use it? Consider “freecycling” it. Freecycle and other groups use websites to bring together people that want to give away items with those who could use them.  For Freecycle, you complete a simple signup process (using a yahoo ID) and, once approved by a moderator, you can post and respond to listings about free stuff. You may come across the occasional unusual listings, but it can be a great place to share and share alike. Along with reducing landfill, it reduces energy and resource usage that would otherwise go towards making new items.

Some other sites include:

http://www.throwplace.com/ Give away and receive items from other people or donate them to charities. Those in need can also locate charities for assistance.
